Compatibility
DB2 10 for z/OS: This product is upwardly compatible with earlier releases of DB2 for z/OS. Migration with full fallback protection is available for customers running on DB2 9 for z/OS or DB2 UDB for z/OS, V8 in new-function mode (NFM). Existing customers should ensure they are successfully running on DB2 9 for z/OS (NFM) or on DB2 UDB for z/OS, V8 (NFM) before migrating to DB2 10.
En comlpément :
Customers who are on DB2 V7 or earlier should migrate to DB2 V8 as soon as possible to be on a solid, supported version of DB2. In a few years, they can use the skip version migration process directly to DB2 10. This may be the best choice for customers who have just finished or are not yet finished migrating to DB2 V8 NFM. If you are planning on migrating to DB2 9 in 2010 or 2011, that is your best option.
