Ah oui tu démarre..

M- correspond a la touche Méta (qui existait sur certains vieux clavier), actuellement cette fonction est assuré par la touche Echap sur la plupart des clavier actuel.

M-x signifie que je tape Echap + x

oui la touche return c'est pas la touche backspace ,
la j'etais pas sur le même problème du tout.
