Salut a tous.

J'ai un petit probleme avec un serveur qui tourne sous Ubuntu 6.06 LTS.
J'ai fait un :

shutdown -r -F now

car ce serveur ne redemarre pas souvent, donc je me suis dis que ca pourrait etre pas mal.
Apparement, il n'y a pas eu de probleme pendant cette operation.
Le probleme, c'est que maintenant, je n'ai plus acces a l'interface graphique. J'utilise GNOME.
Dans le fichier 'var/log/Xorg.0.log', j'ai un warning et une erreur :

Voila, je ne sais pas si avec ca vous pouvez me dire ce qui cloche, mais moi je n'y connais pas grand chose en Linux et je ne sais pas ce qui ne va pas.
La seule chose que je peux dire, c'est qu'avant de redemarrer le serveur, j'ai branche un clavier et une souris USB, je ne sais pas si ca peut avoir un rapport mais bon, autant le signaler.

Petit up, car ca me pose qd meme un petit probleme pour administrer mon serveur de BD.

Je rajoute qu'en fait, en general, il n'y a pas d'ecran branche sur ce serveur, et que j'y accede via UltraVNC...
Et pour voir ce qu'il se passait pendant le fsck, j'ai branche un ecran, avant de lancer la commande shutdown.

Donc en fait, normalement, il n'y a sur ce PC ni ecran, ni clavier, ni souris, et j'en ai branche un de chaque (souris et clavier usb) avant de le redemarrer...
Est-ce que ca peut influencer ???

PS : je ne peux pas tenter de modifier ma config comme ca aussi souvent que je le veux, car c'est un serveur de prod qui est utilise en permanence, et donc je ne peux pas le redemarrer a ma guise.
Et je ne veux pas prendre de risque car je ne peux pas me permettre de le planter :p

D'abord le shutdown.
-r demande un redémarrage: le machine a-telle rebooté?
Ensuite ton serveurX
Avant de le redémarrer tu lances un:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Tiens nous au jus

Salut, et tout d'abord merci pour ta reponse...

Lorsque j'ai fait le shutdown -r -F now, le serveur a bien redemarre, et tout c'est lance comme il faut (le FSCK a bien eu lieu), sauf le serveurX.
J'ai donc acces a mon serveur, mais uniquement en ligne de commande.

En ce qui concerne ta manip de reconfiguration, est-ce qu'un fois que je l'ai effectue, je suis oblige de relancer ma machine ou alors je peux juste lancer l'interface graphique ??? Car comme je l'ai dit, je ne peux pas trop me permettre de faire des redemarrages alors que du monde bosse dessus...

Bon ben y'a un leger mieux.
D'abord j'ai tente de faire la manip directement sur le serveur, mais j'ai l'ecran qui a freeze, donc je n'ai pas pu la faire.
Du coup, je me suis connecte via putty, et j'ai fait la manip de la.
Ca m'a recree le fichier xorg.conf, j'ai ensuite tape startx et j'ai les messages suivant :

Apres le dernier No such file or directory, j'ai du faire un control+c car il ne se passait plus rien pendant plusieurs minutes.
Par contre maintenant, avec UltraVNC, j'ai acces a l'interface graphique. Donc c'est deja pas mal.
Mais j'ai un ecran freeze sur le moniteur branche directement sur le serveur.
Je ne peux pas le rebooter pour le moment, donc je ne peux pas savoir ce que ca donnerait en le redemarrant...et j'hesite a le faire car si ca ne redemarre pas du tout...
