Je suis débutant dans le reploiement d’application.
Je souhaite essayer une web application opensource en local. Pour cela j'ai installer un serveur xampp sur mon pc. Dans un soucis de "portabilité" de mon application et avant tout pour un aspect pratique personnel je souhaite que cette application soit située dans un dossier différent que le dossier webapps par défaut de Tomcat.
j'ai donc modifier le fichier server.xml comme suite
La seule différence avec l'original est donc dans la commande

au niveau de laquelle de souhaite un chemin relatif vis à vis du dossier XAMPP.

J'ai ensuite copier/coller l'ensemble du dossier webapps par défaut dans mon dossier webappsperso.
Le lancement du serveur Tomcat se passe correctement mais quand je souhaite accéder à http://localhost:8080 j'ai une erreur 404
Avez vous une idée de la raison de cette erreur
J'ai également essayé comme suite
c'est à dire en creer un second Host avec un chemin appBase différent. Dans ce cas http://localhost:8080 affiche bien la page tomcat par défaut mais http://essai:8080 ne fonctionne pas
