Dear MySQL users,

we are happy to announce the new 5.0-r13 release of the MySQL GUI tools bundle. After more than a year without any update it was time to refresh the package. This release is a pure maintenance release, which means it contains no new (major) feature. Due to limited resources we also can only do this maintenance for the Windows part of the GUI tools. However, we are planning to move the entire code base of the legacy GUI tools to Launchpad early next year, so it should become much easier for external contributors to help out with patches or to create a new release for Linux and Mac OS X.

Our plans for the legacy GUI tools are to move their features step-by-step into MySQL Workbench (
http://dev.mysql.com/workbench/?p=83) to have one central location for design and management. Until this integration is done we will bring out a new release of the legacy tools at least once per month, providing our users with bug fixes and a few sensitive improvements.

For this release you can find the changelog below. For those wanting to know more about the GUI tools in general there follows a short description, including download and info links.
