Bonjour,

je dispose d'un serveur de données sous FreeBSD. J'ai installé une carte raid pour faire du raid 1 matériel : 3Ware 9550SX - 4LP.
Je me demandais comment on est averti qu'un disque dur a laché puisque c'est du raid matériel pur et dur, sans logiciel derriere ?
Est ce qu'il y a un bip ou quelque chose ?
Quelqu'un sait ?

Bonjour,
Chaque carte possède son utilitaire. Pour les 3Ware c'est tw_cli (/usr/ports/sysutils/tw_cli)

Ca permet de tout faire. Interroger la carte, reconstruire le raid, enlever, rajouter des disques ...

smartctl supporte également les 3Ware

Par contre personnellement, j'ai une très mauvaise expérience du raid sata 3Ware sous FeeBSD (disques et cartes qui lâchent en série).
A mon sens, il faut verifier tous les jours l'état du raide

A la moindre alerte.
_ changer immediatement le disque en cause
_ faire un fsck en single sur le bon disque
_ supprimer les corrections Ecc
_ reconstruire le raid

[EDIT]La commande tw_cli fonctionne pour les cartes controleur SATA ? parce que dans le man page de tw_cli, il est écrit :

Dernier tip. Tu peux toujours rebrancher l'un des disques en direct sur la carte mère en cas de grosse catastrophe. Les données seront reconnues.

Les raid SATA 3Ware présentent visiblement une interface ATA à l'OS. D'ailleurs camcontrol ne verra pas ta carte.

Je viens de tester. C'est parfait !
Reste juste à faire un cron qui execute la commande tw_cli alarms régulièrement et qui envoie un mail d'avertissement en cas de probleme et le tour est joué.
