To duplicate the taskbar on the second monitor in Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon 64-bit, follow these steps:
Connect your second monitor to your computer and make sure it is detected by the system.
Right-click on the Cinnamon panel (taskbar) and select "Add Panel".
Select "Panel 2" and click "Add".
Right-click on the new panel and select "Panel Settings".
In the "Panel Settings" window, go to the "General" tab and enable "Expand Panel".
Go to the "Items" tab and add the items you want to appear on the second panel, such as the window list and system tray.
Drag the new panel to the second monitor and position it where you want it.
To modify each taskbar to show only the active app of a display, follow these steps:
Right-click on the Cinnamon panel and select "Panel Settings".
In the "Panel Settings" window, go to the "Items" tab.
Select the "Window List" item and click the "Configure" button.
In the "Window List Settings" window, go to the "Filtering" tab.
Enable "Only show windows from the current workspace" and "Only show windows from the current monitor".
Click "Close" to save the changes.
Repeat these steps for each panel/taskbar you want to modify.
