Problème d'initialisation du serveur MySQL

Bonjour,

Je rencontre un soucis avec l'installation du serveur MySQL. Quelques soit le type de source que je prends (RPM, source, pré-compilé) je me retrouve toujours avec la table user vide. Du coup il m'est impossible de me connecter au serveur. Je peux juste lire le contenu des tables en démarrant le serveur avec l'option --skip-grant-tables.

Je dispose de Mandriva 2008.0 et de MySQL 5.0.45a

Tu n'aurais pas oublié une étape dans l'installation, du genre mysql_install_db ?

Et bien non je suis passé par cette étape, mais sans succès.....

D'ailleurs l'install via les RPM le fait pour nous, mais voici le résultat:

You can try to start the mysqld daemon with:
/usr/sbin/mysqld --skip-grant &
and use the command line tool
/usr/bin/mysql to connect to the mysql
database and look at the grant tables:
 
shell> /usr/bin/mysql -u root mysql
mysql> show tables
 
Try 'mysqld --help' if you have problems with paths. Using --log
gives you a log in /var/lib/mysql that may be helpful.

Il semble que ça soit un problème de droits sur /root/tmp. Tu exécutes l'installation en root ?

Oui en effet, j'exécute l'install en root. J'ai trouvé le problème, il fallait que j'ajoute l'utilisateur mysql dans le fichier /etc/.user
