Erreur GWT Appel RPC

Bonsoir,

Je tente de mettre en place un appel RPC, sous eclipse. Ceci est vraiment la base, je vous met le code.

Je rentre toujours dans la méthode onFailure ... impossible de récupérer un objet, je désespère depuis 9h ce matin 8O

Il est obligatoire d'avoir un constructeur par défaut pour les objets qui transitent via RPC. Je vois que ta classe MyData n'a pas de constructeur vide.

Est ce que tu peut afficher ton exception ainsi :

Il faut effectivement un constructeur sans argument dans MyData mais puisque tu ne l'a pas surchargé, il existe bien.

A mon avis, le problème vient plus de l'url de ta servlet.

As tu essayé <url-pattern>/myFirstService</url-pattern> ?

En effet, je ne pense pas que cela provienne du constructeur, car si on n'implémente pas de constructeur, par défaut il en génère un vide.

J'ai testé en modifiant le lien /myFirstService, et toujours la meme stack...

Mais en lisant le code erreur, il appelle bien :

Dans ton web.xml, le servlet-mapping doit être de cette forme là:

A vrai dire, je ne comprend pas bien pourquoi mettre /application. Elle correspond à quoi ? au nom du fichier .html ? package ? module ?

En fait lorsque GWT RPC fait appel a des servlets, il utilise l'url : http://adresseServer:portServer/nomModule/nomServlet.

Le nom de ta Servlet correspond a celle que tu as donner a ton service :

Le nom du module correspond au nom a l'interieur de la balise <module rename-to='nomModule'> qui doit se trouver juste après le DocType dans le gwt.xml .
Eclipse set par défaut le rename-to sur le nom de ton application en minuscules.

Mais je vois que tu n'as pas cet attribut dans ta balise module. Donc si tu rajoutes rename-to="application" dans ta balise module avec l'url pattern que je t'ai mentionné avant, cela devrait marcher.

Ce que t'a décrit ryoma45 est vrai lorsque tu met un renameTo.
Comme tu n'en avais pas, c'est tout le chemin qui conduit jusqu'au module par défaut.

Je résume :

sans rename-to, c'est :
/org.oif.start.first.Application/myFirstService

avec rename-to='application', c'est :
/application/myFirstService

La question est pourquoi Jetty ne fait pas le mapping ???

En revanche, l'url avec ?gwt.codesvr=127.0.0.1:9997 qu'il conseille n'a de sens que si tu es en GWT 2.0

Oui je ne comprend pas ce qui cloche... par curiosité avez vous testé mon code de votre coté ? J'ai essayé sur un MAC et windows, j'ai toujours le meme probleme sous eclipse.. si je déploie avec tomcat cela fonctionne.

Je viens de créer un nouveau projet GWT dans Eclipse Calileo nommé Application de package org.oif.start.first

J'ai ensuite copié ton code de MyFirstService , MyFirstServiceAsync, MyData dans le package org.oif.start.first.client

J'ai ensuite copié ton code de MyFirstServiceImpl dans le package org.oif.start.first.server

J'ai mis à jour le code de la classe Application avec ton code.

Comme par défaut, gwt 2.0 a mis :

Le seul truc que je n'ai pas utilisé, c'est ton fichier maven.

Exact, sa fait deux jours que je creuse (en dehors du reste de mon dev gwt) que je me creuse la tete pour trouver le problème.. cela provient du pom.

Finalement, je n'arrive pas à trouver d'ou provient l'erreur.

Sous Tomcat, aucun problème, mais avec maven sous eclipse, impossible...

J'ai exactement le même problème...

Ton MyFirstServiceAsync est automatiquement généré ? Chez moi c'est le cas.

EDIT : J'ai résolu mon problème et il était stupide... J'avais mis mon web.xml dans le répertoire src/main/webapp/WEB-INF et non dans war/WEB-INF.
Dans mon pom.xml j'avais inclus un <outputDirectory>war/WEB-INF/classes</outputDirectory> ce qui fait que je n'étais pas vraiment en phase...

Pour être un poil plus clair : gwt-maven-plugin crée une structure correspondant à un projet maven et notamment par défaut, un src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml

J'ai édité ce fichier pensant que c'était celui déployé quand on fait un mvn gwt:run mais en réalité, c'est celui qui est dans $hostedWebapp/WEB-INF/web.xml et par défaut $hostedWebapp = war (si j'ai bien compris).

Du point de vue des créateurs du plugin, on doit avoir deux web.xml : un pour la partie dynamique (=GWT) et un pour la partie statique (= traitement côté serveur, spring, hibernate, etc).
On doit uniquement utiliser celui de la partie dynamique pour des raisons de test et ça ne doit pas être celui utilisé pour le déploiement futur de l'appli.
