Zend Framework version 1.6

L'arrivée de Zend Framework 1.6 se fait proche ;)

wanted assigned to you. :) We plan to release a 1.5.3 sanity check
release next Friday and update the website the following Monday (7/28).

Y a-t-il un énorme changement de fonctionnement entre la 1.5 et la 1.6 ?
Autrement dit, une application développée avec la 1.5 est-elle compatible avec la 1.6 ? (ce qui permettrais de passer à la 1.6 pour récupérer ses nouvelles fonctionnalités)

Normalement, il n'y a pas de problème de compatibilité lors d'un changement vers une version mineure. Cela dit, les notes de migration ne seront pas publiées avant la version finale ;)

Pour information, sur ma machine de développement je mets à jour quotidiennement ZF en prenant toujours le trunk du SVN officiel, je suis donc passé à ZF 1.6 sans même le savoir. Je n'ai jusqu'ici noté aucun problème de compatibilité ;)

This obviously marks a very important step towards a high-quality,
highly tested 1.6 GA release. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to
this release in any way: with patches/check ins,
documentation/translations, and bug reports.
But our work is not yet over! Let's do our best to bring this release to
the breaking point to find areas we can improve the release for General
Availability. Based on your feedback we will determine in the next few
weeks whether we require additional release candidates, so please
provide feedback on our issue tracker (http://framework.zend.com/issues)
as soon as you can and ask any questions/post your experiences on the
appropriate mailing list.

Again, the Zend Framework community does NOT recommend this release for
production use. We do, however, recommend evaluating new features in
this release with existing and new applications.

Je viens de voir passer la mise à jour de Zend_Version en préparation de la RC3, c'est donc pour très bientôt.
J'imagine que cette RC sera la dernière avant Zend Framework 1.6 version finale.

ZF-4037 Default scrolling style not honored
ZF-4151 Iterator with zero items throws OutOfBoundsException
ZF-4153 The PaginationControl view helper should check for "paginator", if possible
ZF-4154 Change a code example in the documentation to better reflect recommended usage
ZF-4193 Filter / Validate The Page Number on setCurrentPageNumber()
ZF-4207 Zend_Paginator should only force adapter results to implement Traversable

There are also a handful of Zend_Paginator_Adapter_DbSelect bugs that will most likely be fixed for 1.6.2, along with support for modules in the PaginationControl view helper.
