Installation MySql (fichier My.cnf)

Sur l'installation de MySql, il y a une note qui dit qu'il faut creer un My.ini ou un My.cnf...

Je ne vois pas trop a quoi il sert (j'avais installer sur program file sans le creer et ca marchait)
quelqu'un a t'il plus d'explications ??

Si ton install marche ça veut dire que tu as un fichier my.ini par défaut qui a été créé.
Dans le fichier my.ini tu mets tes options de config perso (cf mon tutoriel sur comment optimiser mysql).
La version que tu utilises n'est pas la dernière version stable connue de mysql.

Ok , j'ai imprimer ta faq (tres bien meme)
je doit presenter les avantage des base sous mysql, alors je voudrai connaitre un peu plus et je me renseigne un peu sur tout...licence, installation...
je vais voir pour la derniere version stable merci beaucoup Florian

La version 4 n'est pas déclarée stable mais incorpore un cache de requêtes qui est très intéressant.
