PrintWriter avec OutputStream

Bonjours voila sachant que PrintWriter est un flux de text tandit que OutputStream est flux binnaire et que ce constructeur

contruit un PrintWriter d'un flux binaire, pourquoi donc il y'a pas un charset dans l'argument du contructeur pour permette la conversion texte->binaire, et quelle charset il va dont utiliser dans ce cas

la suite de la javadoc le dit :

 Creates a new PrintWriter, without automatic line flushing, from an
 existing OutputStream. This convenience constructor creates the
 necessary intermediate OutputStreamWriter, which will convert characters
 into bytes using the default character encoding.

Soit dit en passant, c'est la même chose avec InputStreamReader, OutputStreamWriter, new String(byte[]), String.getBytes(), et à peu près tout ce qui, dans les classes Java de base, convertit du binaire en texte avec un charset.
