Grab N' Shoot
Bonjour à tous,
nous sommes un petit group d'étudiants (2 devs, 2 GD/LDs et deux graphs) de la formation aux métiers du jeu vidéo Gamagora à Lyon et nous réalisons actuellement un petit jeu, Grab N' Shoot, dans le cadre du concours Hits Playtime avec Lemonde.fr.
Grab and Shoot est un jeu multijoueur de sport/shoot typé arcade aux caractéristiques eSport.
Il se joue jusqu'à 4 joueurs simultanément en local sur le même écran*; le but du projet est de concevoir une convivialité de jeu old-school et un rapport au spectateur non joueurs.
Pour arriver à ça, il nous fallait un core gameplay facile à appréhender mais équilibré aux petits oignons.

En (très) gros, c'est un croisement entre le jeu de la passe à dix, du hand ball et du shoot'em up.
Les joueurs s'affrontent en équipe en 2 VS 2 ou en solo, les uns contre les autres*; on était partis pour développer des fonctionnalités réseau mais on a été obligé d'abandonner cet aspect du projet pour des contraintes de temps -du moins dans le cadre de ce concours.
Les influences ça irait (en trés gros) de Hokra à Speedball 2 en passant par Smash Bros, Zero Gunner, Geometry Wars...
Voici une petite vidéo d'une partie à 4 joueurs -je répéte bien que le jeu est en cours de développement, y'a les deux tiers des features qui sont en cours, ce ne sont pas du tout les assets finaux...mais ça donne une idée précise du principe de jeu.

Ça peut se jouer au pad ou au clavier et c'est réalisé sous Unity. On vient tout juste de finir la version Alpha pour des playtests, elle est disponible par ici pour les curieux*: http://thowthoww.no-ip.org/~thowthow...s/GnS_alpha.7z

En attendant les playtests, nous avons besoin de vos retours sur la prise en main du jeu, vos ressentis au niveau de la vitesse de déplacement, du principe de visée etc... et donc si le cœur vous en dit, vous pouvez prendre 5 minutes pour télécharger et remplir un court formulaire de playtests à renvoyer à grabnshoot@gmail.com

pour l'instant, on se focalise à développer l'aspect purement multijoueur, on en parle d'ailleurs dans le dernier article

Nous sommes conscients que notre concept n’est pas fait pour un large public et de plus n’est pas simple à tester (il faut être au minimum 2 voire 4 pour une expérience optimale devant un PC avec au minimum un pad)
mais on veut vraiment une orientation e-sport.
Ceci dit, on réfléchira éventuellement à des améliorations ultérieures selon l'évolution du projet.
Merci pour l’intérêt porté à notre jeu, et à très bientôt pour un nouveau prototype plus abouti (world features, nouveaux assets graphiques, différents modes de jeu...)

On a vraiment essayé de faire un typé arcade old-school (les inspirations ça allait de windjammers à Hokra en passant par Speedball) avec multiplayer sur le même écran, une bonne musique 8 bits et le max de rejouabilité possible avec plusieurs modes de jeu.
Si on passe en finale, on envisage de développer un chouette mode multi pour faire des LANs voire de repasser sur du pixel arts et de varier un peu les musiques... le jeu sera en amélioration selon les observations des joueurs de toute manière!
Si vous voulez soutenir le projet, on en a besoin si on veut pouvoir présenter le jeu au public dans le cadre du concours, pour pouvoir le pousser après.

Décidément, y en a que pour Unity en ce moment. Pas de compatibilité pour Linux ?
