Boot impossible de Vista sous Ubuntu [Résolu]

Salut tout le monde,

Je sais ça doit pas être la première fois mais voilà mon problème.
Je viens d'acheter un pc HP sous Windows Vista.
J'ai décidé de mettre ubuntu en dual boot, j'ai donc avec l'éditeur de partition de vista, réduit la place de 12 Go, afin d'installer ubuntu. Au préalable j'avais bien défragmenté le disk.

Ensuite j'ai installé Ubuntu sur le "plus grand espace libre" a savoir les 12 Go que j'avais réduit.

Et là c'est le drame : lorsque mon pc démarre je n'ai pas le choix du boot et il se lance directement sur Ubuntu

Comment y remédier ?

Normalement, un liste est proposée au démarage.
Peux-tu poster le contenu du fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst?

normalement avec le cd1, il y a une option dans rescue
pour restaurer le boot loader

Non je ne vois pas meme en lancant le cd.

Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'expliquer e qu'est le grub et comment je peux voir si je n'ai pas écrasé windows ?

Grub est un boot loader. C'est un petit logiciel qui ce lance quand tu allumes ton ordinateur qui te permet de choisir le système d'exploitation que tu veux. En installant Linux, tu peux l'installer si tu veux faire un dual boot.

Normalement grub est installer par défaut par ubuntu et configurer pour que tu puisse choisir entre windows et linux au démarrage. Le menu proposé par grub est stocké dans le fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst. Peux-tu l'afficher ici?

Désolé d'avoir été si long, c'est que sur le PC ou j'ai Ubuntu, j'ai pas le net donc j'ai du mettre sur clef USB le texte que m'affiche la commande $sudo cat /boot/grub/menu.lst. Voilà :

Le fichier de configuration ne contient rien pour Vista.
Ajoute ceci au fichier:

Et modifie timeout à 5 pour pas devenir cardiaque à l'usage.

On est sur le bon chemin mais là il me charge que windows Vista sans me proposer le menu de boot. (de plus il est un peu long pour charger).


Edit : Ha non ok c'est bon, en appuyant sur echap j'ai le menu, j'avais l'habitude qu'il s'affiche tout seul avant....

Edit2 : Il rest quand même lent
