Access 97 SR2 et Windows Vista [Résolu]

Bonjour à tous,

Je développe et maintien plusieurs application sous Access97 SR2

Je rencontre des problèmes pour installer le SR2 pour Access97 sur un nouveau poste avec Windows Vista Edition Familiale.

Le patch SR2 ne va pas jusqu'au bout de son installation .
Dans le fichier log, on voit un souci au niveau d'un fichier Police (tahoma.ttf)

Je n'ai rien trouvé dans la FAQ à ce sujet.
Quelqu'un a t il rencontré une telle difficulté ?

avec Vista, est ce la fin de Access97 ?
(jusqu'alors les applications fonctionnaient sur les OS suivants : Windows98 SE, Windows 2000, XP home, XP Pro....)

Voila la procédure trouvée sur une site http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread622173.html et modestement traduite par mes soins

Il ne reste plus qu'à faire l'essai lorsque j'aurais la machine Vista sous la main !
(je vous tiendrai au courant !)

INSTALLER ACCESS97SR2B SUR VISTA
1 - Installer Office97 SR-1

2 - Décompresser l’archive SR2B dans un répertorie temporaire

3 - Faire une copie de sauvegarde de 4 Polices (fonts) de Vista
Alller dans Windows\Fonts et faire une copie des fichiers suivants
(comic.ttf, comicbd.ttf, tahoma.ttf,
tahomabd.ttf) dans un répertoire \SAVE par exemple

4 – Installer les 4 polices (fonts) venant de la SR2b
Dans le répertoire d’extraction, sélectionner les 4 fichiers (comic.ttf, comicbd.ttf, tahoma.ttf,
tahomabd.ttf), et par un clic droit, choisissez INSTALL, puis confirmer le remplacement des fonts d’origine (celle de Vista)

5 – Exécuter le fichier sr2patch.exe (comme Administrateur)

6 – Restaurer les polices Vista
aller dans le répertoire \SAVE
sélectionner les 4 fichiers (comic.ttf, comicbd.ttf, tahoma.ttf, tahomabd.ttf), et par un clic droit, choisissez INSTALL, puis confirmer le remplacement des polices (celles de la SR2b par celles de Vista, préalablement sauvegardées)

explication :
Il semblerait que dans Vista, Microsoft a changé la structure interne des polices, et c’est pour cette raison que la SR2b ne peut pas s’installer en se bloquant sur la copie des fichiers de police (cf. fichier log de l’installation défectueuse, dans le sous répertoire Install de Office)

En plaçant temporairement les polices Sr2b à la place des polices Vista, le programme sr2patch.exe réussit à s'installer.
Puis, il s’agit de remettre les polices originales de Vista.

comme promis, j'apporte des nouvelles...


La procédure tant espérée ne fonctionne pas !...où plutôt l'installtion du patch SR2b fonctionne jusqu'au moment où il faut modifier la police tahoma.ttf
(ci dessous le log, et en rouge le moment où ça plante)

Il se pose alors un problème de droit d'accès (alors que je suis bien en administrateur sous vista : j'ai ouvert une discussion sur le forum vista)
(je ne peux pas déplacer, renommer ou supprimer la fichier c:\windows\fons\tahoma.ttf...alors que c'est possible pour l'autre police comic.ttf !)


Ma question ici est la suivante :

1°) avez l'expérience de l'installation et du bon fonctionnement d'Access 97 avec patch SR2b (ce patch c'est important pour moi) sous Vista edition Familiale ?

- si oui, merci de vos témoignage pour me confirmer la comptabilité d'Access97 avec Vista (et ce vista là en particulier).

- si non, quel patch d'Access97 utilisez vous ; je vais une fixation sur celui-là.
en connaissez vous d'autres ? (en dehors du SR1)

Mon problème d'installation de la SR2 acess9 sur Windows vista reste...

même en désactivant l'UAC au niveau du système.
On peut toujours pas déplacer ou renommer la police qui pose problème (tahoma.ttf).
J'ai lu ici où là qu'on attend un correctif (SR) pour Vista.....

Je renouvelle ici ma question :
Avez vous des cas où vous utilisez Access97 SR2 avec vista ?

Ou dois me résoudre à abandonner Access97 sur ce type de plateforme ?

Il me reste une piste....à partir du fichier log du correctif SR2...refaire un fichier .bat qui effectue les corrections à la place de l'exécutable, en n'affectant pas les polices.
mais j'aimerais avoir quelques suggestions...avant de me lancer dans cette voie là !

Attention avec vista il n'y a plus de Winhlp32.exe livré il faut l'installé à la main. Ce manque peut poser quelques problèmes durant une installation.

Après une dernière tentative d'élévation (de droits...et non pas de lévitation !)...je viens de renoncer à installer la SR2 sur cette machine Vista. (Home Edition).

Je viens de passer l'application sous Access2002.
Ce qui est dommage c'est de faire cette migration non pas par envie de fonctionnalités nouvelles, mais par manque de compatibilité !

Je met Résolu au post, pour clore la discussion, mais le problème n'est pas résolu.

Peut être il y aura du nouveau avec une SR pour Vista ?

vu que Office 97 n'est plus maintenu, je ne pense pas que ça s'arrange !
