Plantage serveur SMTP postfix

Bonjour,

je m'adresse à vous pour un problème de plantage de serveur smtp, le serveur plante à peu près toutes les semaines (parfois plus) pour une raison inconnue, et je n'ai aucune idée d'où cela peut venir.

Postfix est utilisé, ainsi que clamav comme antivirus. Le serveur est sous linux (gentoo r6), pentium 4 assez puissant.

Le serveur plante, impossible de se reconnecter dessus en ssh.

J'ai tout de suite pensé à un problème de queue mal gérée (pas de jeu de mot graveleux svp ), mais je n'arrive pas à trouver le problème.
Ce n'est pas moi qui ai installé postfix et tout le bordel, mais le stagiaire précédent, et je ne sais pas quoi faire. J'ai trouvé pas mal de piste sur le net avec l'utilisation de qshape, mais celui-ci ne semble pas être installé.

tu as des logs ? notamment autour de l'heure du plantage

quand tu dis planter ? il fait quoi: il freeze ou bien la charge monte sans interruption ?

J'ai checké plusieurs fois mailq, et la queue contient à l'heure actuelle 140 mails en attente, et certains mails sont vieux de plusieurs jours.

Je ne sais pas quoi faire avec ça, je m'y connais pas trop dans ce domaine (j'apprends ).


Quand le serveur plante, il freeze, ça c'est sur puisqu'ya plus moyen de se connecter en ssh dessus, et quand je vais dans la salle des serveurs pour me logger dessus, il freeze également.


La file est alors peut être plein, j'en sais rien, peut être un pb de processus aussi qui fait planter.

- Clamsmtp (serveur smtp utilisant clamav pour scanner les emails)

augmente deja la taille de ton swap
mais cela n'explique pas pourquoi ton systeme swappe autant que ca.
bien que l'on dirait que ce soit clamsmtp qui pose un pb.

essaie de voir si cela correspond a l'execution d'un cron, ou bien d'une charge importante (mail, scan...)

J'inspecte actuellement la charge avec uptime et je check en live avec top, rien ne semble alarmant, apparemment les problèmes arrivent souvent dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi, m'a t on dit.

ya t il moyen de récupérer les résultats du top dans un fichier assez régulièrement pour voir à quel moment ça plante et pouvoir isoler le processus qui chie ?

J'ai regardé mes logs : le premier processus killé était clamsmtpd, puis du mysql et apache2 une bonne vingtaine de fois ^^

- autre question : que veux dire : HighMem: empty ?

deja regarde dans les crontabs ce qui tourne au moment ou le pb arrive (le pb memoire dans les logs)

ensuite postes ici les logs de postfix pour cette periode de temps. On verra ainsi le trafic.

Ya t il une espèce d'historique des crons éxécutés ? Ou quelquechose dans ce genre là ? Que je puisse comprendre tout ce binz.

Sinon, dans mes logs j'ai ça juste avant le plantage, mais ça va pas trop aider , je sais juste que le qshape a été exécuté juste avant que la machine plante, mais ça veut pas dire que c'est lui le fautif à priori :

euh, je veux pas faire de conneries, ya à peu près 3000 boites mails sur ce serveur, je préfére être prudent. Est-ce que ça va changer qqchose dans la gestion de la queue ? A priori oui... non ?

le desactiver n'aura aucune incidence fonctionnelle.


pour les mails en queue, tu fais un mailq et tu postes quelques lignes de la sortie de la commande .

non c'est bien ça , je sais pas trop si c'est correct : d'une part je connais pas trop le fonctionnement de postfix, même si je me suis documenté vite fait, et d'autre part, le serveur marche (de temps en temps il plante, certes), donc je sais pas trop pourquoi l'ancien stagiaire l'a configuré ainsi, mais il doit y avoir une bonne raison je pense.

j'en ai pris le maximum, mais c hyper long de virer les mail des users, ça m'a soulé, j'espères que ça suffira, au pire si tu cherches qqchose de spécial ds les logs, dis moi et je checkerais.

ton awstats tourne depuis des heures.
essaie de savoir ce que sont les autres process perl:

dans tous les cas desactive les cron sur awstats.
ta charge est bcp trop elevée.

une fois qu'on saura qui est lié a ces process perl on pourra avancer.
