J'ai donc installe uniquement le systeme de base en suite via lynx j'ai mis a jour ma base rpm sur le site easy urpmi. J'ai installe les sources du kernel et le kernel stripped ensuite j'ai installe le dkms puis je lance XFdrake en root. je choisis ma carte graphique et la un telechargement se fait et il installe : nvidia97xx-kernel, dkms-nvidia97xx, nvidia97xx (100.14.11) ensuite il me dit qu il existe un pilote proprietaire et je choisis "OUI" Et lorsque je lance le test de configuration il me dit qu il ne trouve pas de module nvidia.  Je fais en root dkms status et la il m affiche 2 lignes alors que j en voudrais qu 1 normalement. Desespere je desinstalle tout le dkms-nvidia en prenant soin de tout nettoyer l'ancienne installation. et je recommence l'operation manuellement en installant uniquement dkms-nvidia et nvidia97xx je lance ensuite en root XFdrake et je choisis ma carte et bon la il tente de DL le nvidia-kernel (je fais 1 crtl + C) je choisis "OUI" pour le pilote proprio Je lance le test et la ecran noir IMPOSSIBLE de revenir sur la console. J'ai aussi pense a changer toutes les resolutions possibles mais cela ne resout pas le probleme. Desespere plus que jamais je fais une nouvelle install de windows XP sur mon disque IDE ... ensuite j insere le CD proprio NVIDIA et au redemarage il plante severe. Mais comme je suis borne et obstine j'ai fait des install de gentoo ,debian et la aussi impossible d'installer cette foutu carte. PS : Petite anecdote : Avant sous mandriva je n ai jamais eu ce genre de probleme ; quelques fois ca s'installait pas du 1er coup mais j'arrivais a un resultat. Je me dit peut etre que c'est a cause d'un truc qui m est arrive: En voulant nettoyer le ventilo/radiateur de mon proc j ai arrache maladroitement celui-ci et je ne l ai pas remis correctement du coup j ai eclate ses pates (enfin plutot rattatine ).J ai du en achete un autre  .... je ne suis pas Mr Bean devant un PC mais presque  Dans ce genre de situation on est permis de croire n'importe quoi du genre : "Et si c etait a cause de mon bios" , "Et s il fallait flashe le bios" patati et patata ....bref du n'importe quoi.... C'est pourquoi j'aurais besoin d'une main divine Linuxienne pour resoudre mon probleme. L'acolyte que je suis attend votre reponse. |

Je ne suis pas un spécialiste de la chose, d'autant plus que je suis avec ATI. Mais en lisant ton courriel, j'ai l'impression que c'est la résolution et le nombre de couleurs qui posent problème.
Tente 32bits et 1024x768 pour voir, sous 60,65 ou 75 Hz. Autre remarque : as-tu enlevé la gestion de l'APM et de l'ACPI volontairement ? Quelle est la version de ton noyau ? 2.6.17-15 ? 2.6.21 ? Sébastien |

Bonjour,
Merci d'avoir repondu tuxakadjseb, Je ne sais pas si j'ai desactive l'APM et l'ACPI mais j'ai remarque dans le fichier Xorg.log ces lignes qui m'intriguent : (WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (No such file or directory) (II) No APM support in BIOS or kernel Meme s'il serait permis de penser que celles-ci n'empechent pas le bon fonctionnement du serveur X avec nvidia, j'ai vraiment un doute et j'ai essaye de me pencher sur la question en installant acpid et apmd. Je t'avouerais franchement que je ne sais pas du tout ce que ces "demons" ont comme role la dedans mais je voulais m'assurer que le fichier [COLOR=Blue"]"/var/run/acpid.socket" existe et qu'il n'y aie pas la ligne "NO APM support" [/COLOR] Ben au final je n'ai pas reussi a changer grand chose. D'autre part j'ai essayer de changer toutes les resolutions possibles qui me sont permis en 16bits et en 32bits.Et ca ne donne rien non plus. Mon noyau actuel est 2.6.17.13. J'ai installé un autre noyau 2.6.17.15 avec les sources + le stripped, en ayant bien pris le soin de desinstaller dkms et toutes ses dependances. J'ai reboot sur le nouveau noyau et j'ai recommence l'operation manuellement en installant donc dkms, dkms-nvidia et nvidia97xx. Je lance le test et la miracle, je n'ai plus un ecran noir sans signal mais un ecran noir ou mon ecran (CRT, ecran plat 19" ) me met un signal tel que "EN DEHORS DE LA PLAGE" Mais le probleme, c'est qu il m'est impossible de recuperer la console pour changer la resolution. Bref apres plusieurs REBOOT, je change plusieurs resolutions mais cela ne donne rien. J'ai toujours le message suivant : EN DEHORS DE LA PLAGE Que faire maintenant que je suis si pres du but....?? PS: Le plus etrange dans tout ca, est que sous windows j'ai le meme probleme pour installer nvidia;et meme c est pire, au reboot il plante lamentablement mon systeme. Qu'il soit BENI celui qui pourra me venir en aide

pour changer la resolution de l'ecran , tu dois lui passer tes paramètres au boot au boot ,saisis une touche F(je ne sais plus le numero) et essaie differentes resolutions a+ |

rebonjour,
J'ai teste en 70 , 74 , 76 Hz ca ne passe passe pas. J'ai analyse mon fichier Xorg.log et je l'ai trouve etrange. Code :

Bonjour,
Merci troumad pour ta réponse; J'ai essayé avec drakx11 en root en killant le serveur X. Mais le resultat est le meme que lorsque je fais XFdrake. Lorsque je lance le test , il y a un ecran noir et un message du moniteur s'affiche PAS DE SIGNAL D'ENTREE A L'AIDE !!!!! |

Quel driver as-tu ? nv ou nvidia ? Si nvidia ne t'es pas proposé, essaie de prendre les sources plf sur : http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/?language=fr Pour avoir une sortie graphique même dégradée, essaie de choisir le driver vga ou vesa dans la liste des drivers xorg.

Bonjour,
J'ai fait exactement ce que tu as dit . J'ai choisi 2007.1 spring pour ma version mandriva je copie les sources en collant ca sur 1 console (urpmi.addmedia) Je telecharge ma version de kernel-source + stripped dkms puis lorsque je lance XFdrake ou drakx11 c est le meme resultat je peux te montrer mon fichier /var/log/Xorg.log.9 Code :
J'ai teste avec plusieurs resolutions et de frequence mais cela n'abouti a rien. Donc pour l'instant je dois me contenter du driver "nv" :'( :'( |

VGA ou DVI

Bonjour,
J'ai une carte nvidia 7600 GT en PCI express. Il y a 2 sorties sur la carte et j'utilise un adaptateur pour brancher mon ecran plat. Je suppose que l'adaptateur est une sortie VGA vue que j'utilisais mon ecran sur mon ancien PC avec une carte VGA. Pour repondre à ta question je pense que je dois utiliser le port VGA. Sinon l'autre port, je ne sais pas ce que c'est. Cordialement. |

L'autre sortie est la sortie DVI et c'est celle qui marche par défaut sur la carte ati de ma femme
 Tu peux brancher un écran par carte et afficher sur les deux écrans ! C'est génial
