Ubuntu 12.04 qui freeze avec le wifi

Salut à tous !

Je viens vous demander de l'aide car je galère pas mal...
Je viens d'installer Ubuntu 12.04 (en multi boot avec un windows 7 à côté) mais, assez souvent, ubuntu se freeze, tout d'un coup, la souris ne bouge plus, le clavier ne réagit plus, l'écran est totalement freezé. Ca m'est arrivé lorsque j'étais en mode console pur, lorsque le wifi se lançait, ou lorsque que j'ai tenté d'installer un pilote graphique propriétaire (proposé dans les pilotes additionnels), il a même freezé au menu de démarrage où je me logue une fois...

Cependant, de toute évidence, c'est le wifi qui provoque ce problème : je viens de me connecter par câble au réseau et tout va bien !

Bref je ne sais pas trop quoi faire car il semble que ce problème soit assez peu courant sur internet et je ne trouve pas d'autres drivers wifi :s (je ne cherche peut être pas au bon endroit ?)

qui m'a permis de télécharger un bon driver linux ici :

J'ai donc installé le driver, puis j'ai relancé le pc, et tout à fonctionné nikel, puis le lendemain, paff : freeze... Je ne sais plus trop ou chercher..

Il faudrait déjà commencer par regarder dans les logs système (/var/log) et voir si tu peux trouver des informations concernant les crashs.

J'ai eu le même problème depuis que je suis sur ubuntu 12.04. J'avais remarqué que c'était dû au process xorg qui prenait toutes les ressources. J'ai donc fait cette démarche, et mon système ne freeze plus.


Démarrer en mode secours.
Dans la console, choisir l'opération pour vérifier les disques. Ca permettra de monter les disques en R/W pour la suite des opérations.
Une fois le test fini, choisir la console "root" (avant dernier choix je crois).

On créé un fichier xorg.conf (Désolé, le wysiwyg ne marche pas les commandes sont précédées de #)

Un fichier est créé : /root/xorg.conf.new

une fois fini, redémarrer en mode normal.

On va compléter le fichier xorg.conf.new. Pour cela taper la commande :

cvt -r 1366 780 > ecran

Remplacer 1366 et 780 par la résolution souhaitée.

Dans le fichier xorg.conf.new copier/coller le contenu du fichier ecran créé à l'étape d'avant dans la partie => Section "Monitor"
