    Bonjour tout le mode, je cherche à modifier le port d'écoute par défaut de postgresql à 5433. J'ai changé le port dans /etc/postgresql/8.4/main/postgresql.conf
    #port = 5433 # (change requires restart)
    J'ai besoin de vos suggestions s'il vous plaît.

    enlevez le # devant "port".

    Sinon ca reste en commentaire

    Oui, j'ai relancé /etc/init.d/postgresql restart . Et même j 'ai fermé et l'ouvrir de nouveau mais toujours le même problème

    Bonjour,

    S'il s'agit de l'installation d'une autre version de postgreSQL sur la même machine, êtes-vous sûr que /etc/init.d/postgresql restart redémarre la bonne instance ?

    C'est pourtant bien ce qu'il faut faire...

    Petite question con (je m'en excuse) : s'il y a plusieurs instances sur la même machine, avez-vous bien modifié le bon fichier postgresql.conf ?

    Dernière question con : comment regardez-vous sur quel port tourne l'instance ?

    En désespoir de cause, pouvez vous poster le fichier postgresql.conf (ou au moins la partie connection settings) ?

    C'est dans la propriété du srveur que je configure le port 5433 et je définit la hôte ausssi.
    Voilà un extrait du fichier postgresql.conf qui est normalement configuré avec le port 5433 mais il fonctionne avec 5432 :

    D'après le chemin du postgresql.conf, ça ressemble à une distribution debian ou ubuntu.
    Si c'est bien le cas, pourrais-tu donner le résultat de la commande suivante:

    Effectivement ça montre que le changement de port n'est pas pris en compte, à part le fait que le service n'est pas lancé. Ce qui est curieux est que pg_lsclusters va le lire directement dans le fichier en question.
    Par exemple chez moi pg_clusters sur une base 8.4 arrêtée donne:
    Version Cluster   Port Status Owner    Data directory                     Log file
    8.4     main      5432 down   postgres /var/lib/postgresql/8.4/main       /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-8.4-main.log
    
    Maintenant si j'édite /etc/postgresql/8.4/main/postgresql.conf et que je change le port dans le fichier sans rien faire d'autre j'obtiens immédiatement le résultat différent:

    $ pg_lsclusters
    Version Cluster   Port Status Owner    Data directory                     Log file
    8.4     main      5433 down   postgres /var/lib/postgresql/8.4/main       /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-8.4-main.log
    
    et là il suffit de lancer
    Code : Sélectionner tout - Visualiser dans une fenêtre à part
    /etc/init.d/postgresql-8.4 start
    pour démarrer sur le nouveau port.

    Je ne vois pas ce qui diffère par rapport à ce que tu fais.
