Datepicker PHP et BDD

Bonjour,
novice ici donc pardon si ma démarche n'est pas dans les règles =p

Voila, j'ai développer un formulaire administratif sous php, incluant du css. Ce formulaire gère des demandes d'intervention, ces dernières sont enregistrées après validation dans une base de données que j'ai également crée. Mon problème étais le format de la date, que MySql m'imposait, à savoir :
AAAA/MM/JJ.

Donc peu pratique pour l'utilisateur. J'ai trouver une solution sur la toile en récupérant le code d'un DatePicker, qui s'intègre assez bien dans mon design et qui permet à l'utilisateur de simplement cliquer. Mais le problème est que la date choisie ne s'enregistre pas dans ma base de données alors qu'avant avec la saisie manuelle de la date cela marchai.

pourquoi ne pas simplement laisser l'utilisateur rentrer la date dans le format qu'il connais (dd/mm/yyyy pour un français) puis le retransformer avant de l'insérer dans la bdd ?

@vorace: j'ai essayer ton code modifié et cela ne change rien.

@grunk: pour le format de la date ce n'est pas moi qui ai choisi, je me suis juste plié au format Sql. Ma base de données n'accepte pas d'autre format de date. Je crois qu'il faut une requête pour transformer le format en JJ/MM/AAAA mais je ne la connais pas.

Au passage merci à vous de vous intéresser à mon problème et de réagir aussi rapidement.

Coté Mysql tu peux forcer l'affichage d'un Champs date dans un format spécifique :

Avec ça tu n'est plus bloqué par quelconque format de date

Après plusieurs essais, je ne parviens pas à intégrer ton code dans les miens.
Où dois-je exactement insérer le code que tu m'a passé ?

Le premier code est à utiliser quand tu as une date au format français et que tu veux une date au format mysql

L'autre est un exemple de requête transformant une date mysql 'Y-m-d' en format français 'd/m/Y'
